Applegate Self Drive Van & Car Hire
Applegate was founded in 1979 by Neil Evans and remains a family-run business to this day, now led by his daughter Julie. The company currently operates a small fleet of vehicles across all three of its branches.
The Problem
Before joining iVech, Applegate relied on a self-built database to store customer information, along with several separate software tools to manage the diary and send booking confirmations.
This process required each booking to be entered manually, making it time-consuming and difficult to manage consistently across multiple branches.
The Solution
Applegate joined iVech in early 2019. We assisted in importing all existing data into the system, ensuring a smooth transition from day one.
With iVech, Applegate gained a complete all-in-one rental management solution, providing a clear and shared diary across all branches. Confirmations, reminders, and payments can now be sent with just a click—saving valuable time previously spent on manual admin tasks.
Additionally, vehicle maintenance and invoicing are now automatically tracked and easy to manage, helping the team stay organised and focused on delivering great service.
Growing the System
Applegate are always looking at ways to streamline their own operations and have turned to us on several occasions to request features within the iVech system. We are shaped by our customers and release upgrades based on this.
Every request has been dealt with by the team efficiently and if it can not be done straight away, it is added to the next release which always help to know future versions of the software continue to grow as our customers do.
Online Payments
Applegate were one of our first adopters of iVech Payments. This easy to use interface allows you to take card payments from within our system without a card terminal. Payments are then easily allocated to bookings and invoices with ease. They also email payment links directly to customers for them to complete at home.
iVech as a whole has worked massively for the company in all aspects from diary allocation, customer contacts, digital agreement signing, vehicle maintenance and recently payments.
