From One Branch to Three: The Growth of Lincs Van Hire
Lincs Van Hire began in Horncastle in 2007 with a single branch. Since then, they’ve grown to three locations across Lincolnshire and a fleet of nearly 400 vehicles, making them one of the largest independent vehicle rental companies in the region.
The Problem
Before switching to iVech, Lincs were looking for a modern, cloud-based system that could keep up with their expanding fleet and multi-branch operations. They needed something more efficient, accessible, and capable of integrating with their growing digital presence.
They also had a desire to be a paperless organisation, realising the cost savings this brings along with a more professional customer experience.
The Solution
In summer 2022, Lincs made the switch to the cloud-based iVech Rental Management System. The implementation began with video onboarding sessions for all staff, and data was imported from their previous system to ensure a smooth transition.
Since going live, the team have seen improvements in day-to-day efficiency, visibility across branches, and customer communication. The system’s cloud access means they can manage rentals from anywhere — whether in-branch or on the go.
Lincs Van Hire has expressed how many benefits the iVech system brings but the key one aside from being paperless is the ‘one stop shop’ for all things vehicle and rental. It means the team at LVH have all the information at their fingertips, whether that be servicing schedules on vehicles, vehicle damage pictures or general booking details.

Growing the system
In 2025, Lincs re-developed their website using the iVech API. This allows customers to search for vehicles, generate quotes, and book rentals 24/7. Account customers can also log in to manage their bookings directly.
LVH have seen over 30% of all retail bookings now made through the website, this has meant a reduction on booking admin for the team which allows a more detailed focus on day-to-day admin regarding customer support and vehicle maintenance.
Easy Check-out / Check-in
Lincs were one of the first beta users of iVech Assist, helping shape the initial version of the app. Their feedback influenced features such as digital signatures on rental agreements, automated damage sheets, and photo capture. Today, the mobile app is used for every rental, simplifying the check-in and check-out process.
